Minestrone Soup

I am still working on this. I am trying to make some recipes that are purely from food storage items, and getting them together so when a meal time comes all you have to do is dump all the ingredients in a pot. I thought this was tasty, despite having no fresh ingredients.

Minestrone Soup Jar Mix
¼ cup (red) lentils
¼ cup green split peas
¼ cup barley
1 c dried vegetables (I found at the health food store)
1/3 cup beef bouillon powder
3 TBS -1/2 c onion flakes
garlic powder equivalent to 1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/3 tsp. thyme
1/3 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. basil
2 bay leaves
1 c macaroni in separate bag

Can cooked ham (optional)
Can white beans (drained)
Can of green beans (drained)
Can of diced tomatoes
1 can potatoes, chopped into cubes

Directions:
In a quart jar, layer from bottom in the order given, then seal the jar.
In a very large saucepan combine 8 to 10 cups of water, (will have to continue to add) and soup mix. Add 2-4 chopped potatoes,
and (optional: 2 cups chopped cabbage).
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for one hour.
Add the canned items, bring back to a boil, put in the macaroni, cook until tender.
Remove Bay leaves if added
